Nothing Scilly about this Honeymoon

With yesterday’s proposal a distant memory, we are now waltzing down the aisle and carrying you over the threshold into the rumours surrounding the Royal honeymoon.

It has recently been suggested that Wills and Kate may be considering a more modest destination than we might have expected for the finale to the wedding of the century. Rumour has it that they are considering a break in our very own Scilly Isles which (if true!) is a great way of championing an area of Britain which perhaps doesn’t get as much press as it should do. With this in mind, here is our prize suggestion for a Scilly Isles break fit for a queen.

The Isles of Scilly, or the fortunate Isles as they are often called, lie just 28 miles out into the Atlantic Ocean, beyond Lands End. Some may be surprised by pictures of the islands which seem more -˜Caribbean’ than -˜coast-of-Cornwall’ thanks to its clear azure waters and white sand beaches. It is certainly not hard to see why the royals might be considering this shimmering Archipelago for their honeymoon and how it could also make a great destination for your winners too. We would recommend a stay at the Star Castle Hotel for your winners, a 16th-century star-shaped castle which was built to keep a watchful eye out for the Spanish Armada and now, unsurprisingly, enjoys the best views on the island. Nowadays, the Star Castle is far more welcoming to visitors of the island and houses guests in beautifully refurbished garden rooms and suites. Staying at the hotel, your winners will have the use of a swimming pool and the choice of 2 restaurants serving traditional British fare and freshly-caught fish. And, to make your prize extra special, we can even arrange for puffin-spotting boat trips and island hopping in the Archipelago, ensuring that your winners have an unforgettable break!
